Rice Paper Boutique Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools for creating, purchasing, printing, and ordering decoupage designs and rice-paper products. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you use Rice Paper Boutique Studio through our website or app.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and account/user identifier when you create or use an account.
- Purchase and membership information: records needed to provide purchases, memberships, digital access, credits, receipts, and order history.
- Shipping information: when you place a physical order, we collect information needed to fulfill it, such as your name and shipping address.
- Photos, artwork, and designs: images you choose to upload or create. Artwork used only in the local design workspace is generally handled in your browser. When you choose features that require server processing—such as Print & Ship or Decoupage My Photo—the necessary image or finished design is securely uploaded so that feature can be provided.
- Service and security information: technical records may be processed as necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the service.
How we use information
We use information to create and maintain accounts; authenticate users; provide Studio features; process purchases and membership access; fulfill and ship physical orders; provide image-creation features you request; maintain purchase and creation balances; provide customer support; send transactional messages such as account, order, and shipping messages; protect the service; and comply with legal obligations.
If you separately and voluntarily opt in to promotional email, we may use your email address to send new designs, specials, and member offers. Promotional email signup is optional.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate Rice Paper Boutique Studio. Depending on the feature you use, information may be processed by providers that support hosting and server functions, account authentication and data storage, secure payment processing, transactional email, and requested image-generation features. These currently include Netlify, Supabase, Stripe, Resend, and OpenAI. We provide or transmit information to these providers only as needed to operate the applicable service or feature.
Payment card details are processed by our payment provider. Rice Paper Boutique Studio does not directly store your full payment card number.
Photos and image creation
You choose whether to upload a photo or artwork. If you use Decoupage My Photo, the image and the selected preset/instructions needed to perform your request are sent through our server-side service to our image-processing provider. If you use Print & Ship, the finished print files are stored as needed to fulfill your order.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your email address, uploaded photos, user ID, or purchase history to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. We may disclose information to service providers as described above, to fulfill your requests, or when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, protect the service, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Retention can vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected.
Signed-in users can start permanent account deletion from My Account. You may also contact us with a privacy or deletion request using the email address below. Some transaction or business records may be retained where required or permitted by law even after an account is deleted.
Your choices
You can choose not to upload photos, can decline optional promotional email, and can request assistance regarding your account or personal information. Certain information is necessary to provide account, purchase, shipping, or other features you choose to use.
Children
Rice Paper Boutique Studio is a general crafting service and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
